He did not pantywaist around with the truth.
Scientology and dianetics started before there was a church evolved to propagate and disseminate it. If it turns out that the church becomes an untenable vehicle to export scientology to the world due to the continue suppression it has undergone, and if it is eventually destroyed, then we can start again.
All good movements start with a dream, a goal and a purpose. The dream, goal and purpose that LRH had for this planet can still continue. I think it is safe to say that it is a dream and a goal we have or have had at one time or another. We can revive that goal and that purpose. How would it be if we had a Clear planet? It might take a little longer than was originally envisaged, but it can still happen! It can still be done. Imagine that! How would it be if everyone in your area was clear and OT. How easy would life be! If the planet was bent on creation and not destruction. If the media was promoting creative things and not death and other low toned activities as "news".
It would be nice for DM to step down and the suppressive elements would turn to other matters and allow the church to continue on its original track but that is probably too much to hope for.
Instead, as we are not in a position to control DM or remove him from the church or revert the church back on course ourselves it behooves us to take responsibility to do what we CAN do, which is to carry on the purpose and the goals which, I am sure, we all agreed to at some point or another.
In short, if we cannot do what we cannot do, lets do what we CAN do.
We can preserve the technology. It is probably that most of us have the technology, We can ask ourselves, what can we do to ensure its preservation? We can also ask ourselves, what can we do to protect the technology we are preserving? how can we ensure that it is kept in its original form? not changed and so lost in the mists of time so that down the track some one asks us, "What ever happened to the original technology?" We can say, "here it is!", not, "Oh, Well that was lost you see."
We can promote the technology, Make sure people know about it. pass it around. Train and audit others, get them doing the same. create around us a renaissance, an excited, "Did you know that...." Let people know there IS hope and that it is not all bad and the environment is not really as dangerous as the media make out.
We can start little groups. We have a marvelous previously unheard of tool available to us. the internet and all the tools arising from it. Websites, email, forums, lists etc. All excellent and wonderful tools to use to spread the word.
I believe these are goals worth having. And that we can make a difference to the people on this planet.
Focus and discipline and keeping the goals and purposes in front of us. Putting attention on those goals, not on the stops or the intervening hinderances, are the key factors that will help us to achieve what LRH set out to do.
