The Future of Scientology & Dianetics

It is no accident that low on the tone scale the concern is with the past, midway with the present and at further up the tone scale ones concern is with putting a future there.
This does not mean that one should ignore the past and this is the choice a free Scientologist has. He or she can be concerned with the past, operating on a day to day basis right now or busy mocking up and creating the future.
However, although it can be fruitful under certain circumstances to look at the past, one must keep in mind the past cannot be changed into something different. Of course one can as-is the past, make it disappear if viewed thoroughly enough. One can remove any trauma that might be associated with past events. But one cannot change the past events to different events. The present is the moment here and now. It is the operational tool to change what is and what can be or will be. It is the demonstration of change and the future is what can be changed.
Everyone develops a goal when they first cognite on or realise the value of Scientology. Whether it is to become an auditor or to get up to OT or to train on the SHSBC or just to enjoy a more fulfilling life. What happens to these goals? Where do they go? How many people actually achieve their goals? How many goals are sidelined, thwarted or even stopped, in favor of 'some other, more important' goal fostered off on the individual? And what can an individual do about it?
An individual can rail against it of course. He can complain and point, "Look what happened to me!" He can continue to expose the existing church for what we all know it to be. And of course it is right that such abuses be brought out into the light.
He can continue to look into the past and remember past events and past goals long gone. He can even decide to continue to put the past into the future. Or, he can take a different tack, and look to the future instead for a change.
This does not detract from the vitally imporant work being done to expose the existing conditions and violations currently being fostered by the COB (Chairman of the Board) in the Church or the perversions of the original philosophy and technology of application, that continue to occur. Such matters need to be brought, not only to light, but addressed. This is part of creating a change in our environment and protecting the technology.
Have you noticed? There is something about the future that is not generally noticed very much. It is always there. It does not go away. And then, there is an awful lot of it. It just goes on and on. It just never ends.
It is like an endless bank account. You can use it up, you can waste it, you can do all sorts of things with it, and it just continues to be there. It is the epitome of infinity. Like a big empty space you can put things in. And never fill up.
And we all have a future. What it is depends solely on what we put into it.
Why not put something you like into it, such as a previous goal that you have always wanted, for example?
The future of Scientology and Dianetics is in our hands.
The Church is the past, the field is the future. Almost all the Scientologists that assisted Ron during his tenure are in the field. Those few still left in the church are likely to leave as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Of those that are 'out' not all stay on track, some diverge to other areas, other technologies and even alter the technology and create their own.
It is vital therefore that we ensure we adhere to the original technology as laid out by Ron in order to ensure its preservation over the coming millennia.
Basically we have the tools. The basic principles upon which Scientology is based, the philosophy if you like, and the applied technology to rehabilitate a being up the tone and awareness levels and regain his or her former dignity, freedom and integrity.

We have the tools and the expertise. It does not matter where one is in terms of knowledge and experience. There is a level from which anyone can start. Gradients are available and one can move further from the point of an experienced classed auditor on the first and third dynamics or from a new person just starting out and looking to do a communicates or extension course. As LRH has said, Scientology is for everyone and no one needs to be left out. For some it is a longer road than others. But the road is still there. We need to ensure it stays there and is not barred or destroyed.
"When you diverge from a constructive purpose to "stop attacks", the purpose has been abandoned. You get a stop. The real way to stop attacks is to widen one's zone of responsibility. And pour the coal on the purpose. Thus all attacks one makes should be in THE DIRECTION OF ENLARGING ONE'S SCOPE AND AUGMENTING BASIC PURPOSE."

The secret is making more and more auditors, educating more and more people into the basic principles that form Scientology and more and more people are booted up the bridge to more freedom. It is impossible to have too many beings up the bridge to more awareness. There are no limits. No absolutes.

This takes work, it takes organisation and dedication. Hanging out one's own shingle is fine for an individual but not for a philosophy. Yes the philosophy needs the support of the individuals and their agreement and this is manifest in coordinated support, a number of people doing a number of jobs to ensure persistence. An organisation is composed of lines and terminals. Not one terminal alone. LRH Recognised that. He knew he could not singlehandedly export scientology to the world. It takes an organisation.

Yes the only way we will make any headway is by training hundreds of thousands of people. Literally hundreds of thousands. The church is a lost cause and having a couple of tiny groups dotted here and there on the landscape is not going to do it. Scientology could quite well disappear over the next 100 years. Having groups who will die off during the next 40 to 50 years is not enough. Something that we will all get a turn at is dropping the body. The point is, will there be replacements? Will groups continue to burn brightly or will they burn out due to lack of foresight and persistence? Just having a few groups comfortably auditing a few people here and there is eventually going to get swallowed up in time. It is going to take a lot more than that.
Most groups take what I call a singular one dimension view. They are going ok and are happy to continue like that.
For Scientology to survive it is going to take organisation, third dynamic activity. LRH introduced all that was needed. If only it could be applied. The deputy system to ensure continuity. Lots of branches of the church. LRH set up the church with the idea in mind it would provide a space for auditors to be made. There were heaps of expansion and div six programs geared to assist this to happen. It could have worked as well. It still is a tremendous resource given a change in leadership. Yes it would take a long time to repair the damage but hey, good intentions and with the purposes in line, stops would be blown out of the water. Ref OT Orgs PL. It works like magic.
And, there are over 6 billion people on this planet. That is a lot of people How many clears and OTs are there on this planet? Less than .0000001 percent. How many will it take to make a difference? I honestly do not know. How much to raise the tone level of a planet dramatising the forth dynamic engram and stuck in apathy and war?
A saving grace and way out of this is that this universe is a universe of plenty. Survival depends on plenty. Seeds of flora and fauna are created in great abundance just to ensure a few survive. Check out some of the natural documentaries. The universe itself is vast. Humungous. Heaps of space and suns and planets and so forth. Billions. Much more than is needed for all life in this universe. And life is in abundance also. Abundance is the answer. We need not just a few groups like islands in the ocean. We need oceans of groups in a small sea. An abundance of groups as not all will make it but to ensure the survival of the technology we need hundreds if not thousands of groups spreading the technology around. Hundreds of resources of tech spread around. so it is never lost.
I don't know if LRH has gone to another planet to sow more seeds, and then another and then another or not. I often wonder. I would not put it past him to realise that one seed planets may not 'take' and others will be needed. Perhaps Earth was not the first. Who knows? We can enjoy coffee and speculate all day. But he did say this when he was here, that this planet had the answer and the answer was no where else in the universe at the time, and that last sentence of KSW rings in my mind.
What if this planet IS the only chance man has? Can we afford not to consider that?
Our future depends on what we do here and now with scientology.
We cannot depend on the church, or LRH spreading the technology elsewhere. We have to depend on ourselves if we want a future. After all it IS our future.
It also takes a viewpoint that the future is there and that it belongs to us and it is something we can do something about and it takes a attitude of create. The future is what we create it.
Create a poor future and we will have a poor future. Create no future and we will have no future. Create a good future and we will have a good future. Whether you are 6, 16, 26 or 66 you HAVE a future. So what is a GOOD future?
I believe that most people would like to have a future where it is safe to come back. Where there is sanity and peace on earth. Where children are taught to be responsible for themselves and to select a code of ethics and stick by it.
I believe that most people would like to have a world in which there is no longer the vested interest in war and conflict because people are educated enough and higher toned enough not to desire such things in order to feel safe and enjoy life.
I believe that most people would like to have a world in which all of us, as humanity, are high toned enough to be responsible for the environment. Where we care for the other dynamics just as much as we care for our own.
I believe that most people would like to have a world in which there are higher motivations than power and money. Such motivations might be duty and caring for others.
I believe that most people would like a future where we can all BE. Where going clear and OT is a common enough thing and where the bridge is an accepted fact and people are progressing steadily along it.
But how do we get such a future?
Although it may require a lot of work, as the counter intention to such a world is high and visibly in charge it would seem, it is not as difficult as it might appear. The heavy drape or curtain is held by small, much lighter rings. Remove the rings and the drape falls away. The 'heaviness' of the world's problems and issues is held simply by the intentions of a few beings with which others are in agreement through ignorance and apathy driven by past experiences and little education in the realities of life.
So how can we change this?
Reality is agreement. The more agreement there is the more real something becomes. The MEST universe, for example, has more agreement than you can throw a stick at and it is certainly persisting and is more real to most people than their own beingness. The current agreement for the future for this planet is not of the best. It currently lies in irresponsibility and not-is-ness. The reality of an individual's beingness is being buried in the enforced reality of MEST.
The lower down the tone scale an individual is the less real the upper levels of the tone scale are going to be for that individual. The further down he goes the less future he mocks up expecting it to be done for him. Who do you want mocking up your future?
He has to be dug out.
While the culture is driving him down the tone scale to spectatorism and a no responsibility case, we have to, somehow, insert a wedge into a crack in that culture to let some light in and to show that there is something else available.
Agreement first as to what future is wanted is a first step. How far into the future are we willing to mock up? 5 years? 10 years? 50 years? 1,000 years?
Is the future we want as described above in the first few paragraphs of this article?
If so some agreement is needed to put it there. The more agreement we have the more real that future will become real.
How do we advance this agreement?
It was once said, the way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. Of course we don't propose you eat an elephant but the principle is sound. How did Dianetics and Scientology expand so much in the very early days? People bought the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, and started using it. Small groups formed up and people started running engrams on each other.
So how do we do this today?
A grass roots movement. Setting up a small group. Does not have to be large or massive two or three people to start with.
"People don't bite. Ask them over to a sociable evening to discuss forming a mental health group. When they get there, don't ask them to join. Just elect them as officers. Get them to agree on future meetings and the programs. Assume they want to know more about Scientology. Explain Scientology offhandedly as though it's sort of strange they don't know and get on with group organization and business. Don't run Decisional Processing on them. Assume they've decided and lo! You've got a group."
People are happy these days, even more so, to have someone tell them what to do.
"Groups fail to form in absence of purpose. People fail to join in absence of purpose they can understand. Mock up the purpose. Invite in the people. Form up a program around the purpose and away you go.
If you don't have one, it's because you've been trying to explain Scientology to people and so get them to join. Just get them to join and let Scientology soak in.
A group is fun.
A group is communication.
A group is society."
In sales one is told to sell the sizzle, not the steak. People are now at a point where they expect sensation, where they are spectators and a culture where 'it is all done for them'. Utilize that.
1. Entice them to look, the sizzle not the steak remember? The Dissemination Formula is still an excellent entrance point for face to face meetings.
2. Educate them. In small bites perhaps. Small datum that can be assimilated and is on their reality level. Do some TRs or clear an engram.
3. Offer some hope of beingness. Demonstrate and show they can be causative.
4. For existing scientologists, showing an enlightening comparison between the on source groups in the Field and the changed altered original texts by Ron Hubbard is another.
So why should we do this? Who cares about other people? As long as we are ok and have gone free what difference does it make?
It makes all the difference in the world. We have all heard the phase, "No man is an island." All this means is that there is more than one dynamic. Any individual who is only first dynamic orientated is going to end up in trouble. The dynamic of life is split into eight parts. Only operating on one eight of the dynamic of life, is going to result in a reduced ability to survive well as only one eighth of survival is being attended to.
And we don't want that do we?
So lets start looking at the future. Ask yourself the question. What do you want to be there in 10, 15, 20 years time?
